A cardiothoracic surgeon who built the National Cardiothoracic Centre, so that Ghanaians needing heart surgery no longer had to leave the country for it.

Kwabena Frimpong-Boateng is a Ghanaian physician and cardiothoracic surgeon who established the National Cardiothoracic Centre in Accra.

He is president of the Ghana Heart Foundation, was chief executive of the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital, and was elected a Fellow of the Ghana Academy of Arts and Sciences in December 2002.
