Across three decades and more than thirty albums he became the defining voice of modern highlife, and the soundtrack most Ghanaians alive today grew up with.
Born Charles Kwadwo Fosuh at Nsuta in the Ashanti Region in September 1964, he began as half of the Lumba Brothers with Nana Acheampong during the rise of Germany-based burger highlife in the late 1980s.
He went on to record more than thirty albums over a career spanning three decades, and is widely described as the most influential Ghanaian musician of the modern era. He died at the Bank Hospital in Accra on 26 July 2025, aged 60.
