Boatengs's claims are untrue- Zambian FA
" border="0" align="left" class="photo" hspace="10" style="float:left;"/> The Communications Director of the Zambian Football Association, Erick Mwanza, has strongly rebuffed claims made by Ghanaian midfielder Derek Boateng that the Black Stars were mistreated in Zambia.

Ghana lost 1-0 to Zambia in Ndola last year in a World Cup 2014 qualifier and Boateng and Ben Acheampong were allegedly manhandled by the police at the Stadium after the match.

With the return leg on the 6th of September, Boateng, in an interview with Happy FM, called for an amount of revenge on the Zambians for the ill-treatment of the Black Stars.

However, the Zambian FA has denied claims that the Black Stars were not properly handled in Zambia and it is planning to send the case to FIFA.

" We have taken steps to inform FIFA about Derek Boateng's comments because when Ghana came here we gave them the best of everything.

They got the best hotel in the Copper belt region, they had a good bus, we played in a very fair manner and we went out of our way to ensure that our brothers from Ghana were comfortable", Mwanza said in an interview on Gh One Television on Monday.

He went on to say that he expected a very positive atmosphere when the two teams play on the 6th of September. He hoped that all differences on the pitch and not off it.

" We want the better team to win the match because of what happens on the field of play. We beat Zambia because of factors on the pitch. We pray that the match will be played in a very positive spirit."
