A group calling itself Platform for Elite Teachers in the Ashanti region is calling for the immediate dismissal of the Regional Director of the Ghana Education Service (GES), Kofi Sarfo Kantanka.

According to the group, the director has exhibited immoral and unethical conduct which has contributed to the fallen standards of education in the region.

Speaking to Citi News, the General Secretary of the group, Musa Degraft Coleman said The director was destructing the educational process.

“He is embarking on an unexpected illegal transfers and the reason behind the transfer that he is making is not in conformity with the educational principles,” he added.

According to Dr. Coleman, the group is asking for his immediate dismissal because the Director is also abusing human rights.

“In education, you do whatever you do with an open mind and not a diabolic intention. He is abusing human rights so we decided to inform the authorities about it so he can be brought to book.”
